PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Iqra University Global MBA program is uniquely structured in a modular format to maximize students' flexible study options. Subject areas of study are divided into a series of modules. Students will complete the same credit hours expected in a regular MBA degree while taking full advantage of the shorter, more flexible time period required for completing each unit. Modules will be taught with a blended method through intensive short-term classes on weekends and evenings, weekly classes and virtual means.

The Iqra University Global MBA thereby provides considerably more flexible study options for students when compared to more traditional MBA programs. For successfully completing the Global MBA, you are required to complete:

  • Six Core Modules
  • Four Optional Modules
  • Industrial Project / Thesis

PROGRAM DETAILS

Iqra University’s Global MBA program is a flexible modular program that aims to allow the students to learn and complete the program as per their own pace without having compromised on quality of education. The program offers several possible completion points allowing the students to complete the program at their own pace. The possible completion points are:

  • 18 months (early)
  • 24 months (standard)
  • 30 months (extended)

The number of modules to be completed remains constant, regardless of the chosen exit point.

CAPSTONE PROJECT

The Global MBA program’s capstone project provides an opportunity for participants to focus on analysis as key business issues in their organization, industry or related area of interest as it pertains to at least one of the countries visited during the program. Projects may also be based on entrepreneurial opportunities in one or more countries visited during the program. Utilizing the tools, skills and insights acquired throughout the Global MBA program, participants will present realistic strategies for addressing these key business issues and opportunities.

UNITS IN GLOBAL MBA

The Initial Units

Students of Global MBA program are required to complete the first few units at Iqra University in Pakistan.

Units in Foreign Locations

Once the initial units are completed, students will have the opportunity to complete the remaining units at two or more foreign locations.

Selection of Foreign Locations

The foreign locations are selected in relation to entrepreneurial opportunities, global relevance, student interest, physical safety, political stability, economic viability and other variable criteria.

Partner Universities

Various universities from the UK, France, Germany, Turkey, China and Malaysia partner this Global MBA program. Students of the Global MBA program are facilitated to visit these universities to attend the specific modules and participate in industry visits to seek opportunities for new business ventures. Partner universities provide support for the agreed modules in the given time frame and facilitate in making industrial linkages in their respective countries.



CORE MODULES


This module provides students with a better understanding of the dynamic and complex nature of the global business environment it also helps students understand the ways of developing strategies for meeting the demands of a global business environment. Hence, this module equips students with the necessary skills to lead business organizations in a truly global environment.

Creativity and Innovation are the key drivers of success for contemporary business organizations and therefore, innovation and entrepreneurial skills are critically important for managers in today’s organizations. Hence, this module seeks to teach the skills that are essential for being innovative and unleashing individual creativity, and seeks to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

This module is designed to prepare students to communicate and negotiate effectively and efficiently in positions of leadership. More specifically, it is designed to help students think strategically about how, and what, they communicate and how and when to negotiate. Hence, the module not only teaches communication and negotiation skills but also teaches managers to achieve specific objectives with a given audience in a specific situation.

This module prepares you for leadership and transformational roles in organizations. This module will explore leadership theory and how it fits against contemporary expectations of people in organizations. The module also introduces you to the key concepts, frameworks and practices of strategic management. It prepares you to respond quickly to today’s challenging business climate and understand the role of strategy in maintaining or achieving competitive advantages. Hence, this module helps you identify, evaluate and improve your personal leadership style.

This module provides you with a better understanding of how businesses perform accounting and financial activities. In this module, you will learn how financial information is prepared and communicated and used as an effective tool for decision-making and control. This information includes areas of financial and management accounting and the main principles of finance.

This module aims to develop a critical understanding of project management to enable students to recognize the importance of this discipline in various organizational and functional contexts. The module helps students develop a critical understanding of the concepts employed in project management at strategic, systems and operational levels and an appreciation of the knowledge and skills required for successful project management in organizations.
