ADMISSION POLICY

Admissions are offered on merit to the candidates irrespective of nationality, gender, ethnic background, creed, socio-economic status or other factors. All applicants must go through the entry test and interview process to show their potential for completing their respective programs.

An applicant with a foreign qualification must provide the equivalence certificate/letter issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen or the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. For graduate applicants, if division and CGPA both are mentioned on the Degree/Transcript, only CGPA will be considered as a criterion for admission. All PhD admissions recommended by the admissions committee will be subject to the approval of the BASAR of Iqra University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Each Academic Department has its eligibility criteria and the details are available in the Applicant Requirements section.

PROVISIONAL

A candidate waiting for their result may apply for admission and appear in the admission test and interview. However, if selected, they will be granted provisional admission. Such a candidate must meet the University admission eligibility requirements within the first semester and must submit the document at the earliest in the same semester. If the candidate fails to score the required marks/CGPA, they will not be allowed to take classes, and the admission will be cancelled with immediate effect.

CREDITS TRANSFER

All potential candidates must required to apply as fresh candidates and take the admission test, unless they are transferring from another campus of Iqra University. The evaluation of any course work completed at another institution will be based only on an official transcript and compatibility of the course syllabus. The following policies apply to all transfer students:

  • Credit is not accepted for grades lower than a C+ or below 67% marks.
  • Prospective transfer students must complete Iqra University's entrance requirements.
  • Grades from other institutions are not included in the calculation of Iqra University's grade point average.


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS


  • At least three years of work-experience in private or public, profit or non-profit government or non-governmental organizations.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • 16 years of education – for applicants who have studied within Pakistan.
  • A minimum CGPA of 2.5 (or equivalent) in the qualifying degree.
  1. Two letters of recommendation (maximum one-page) in English or with English translation.
    • One recommendation from a previous or current employer.
    • One recommendation from a previous or current academic instructor (if a previous or current academic instructor is not available. The applicant may provide ‘two’ letters of recommendation from two different previous or current employers).
  2. Two essays (in English)
    • Essay 1
    • Explain how your education, work and life experiences can add value to your classmates’ educational experience in the Global MBA program (in 500 words or less).

    • Essay 2
    • Describe one or two key events in your life that helped shape your character and explain how your character affects those around you (in 500 words or less).

  3. CV in English (5 pages or less)
  4. Formal copies of all educational degrees and transcripts.
  5. Although not required, if the applicant has taken a GMAT or GRE within the past five years, please provide copies of the test results.
  • Interview Process
  • Personal interviews will be conducted with each qualified applicant by the Iqra University Global MBA Admissions Committee.

  • Selection Process
  • The Global MBA Admissions Committee will examine the application package of each qualifying applicant and consider the quality of the personal interview in determining the suitability and acceptance of each candidate.

    Submission of a completed application does not guarantee admission to the Global MBA program.
